Aardman’s iconic claymation characters and charming storytelling have become a universally-revered symbol of childlike wonder for people of all ages. With creations such as Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Chicken Run, these slightly off-kilter comedic benchmarks of media are just as recognizable as when they were released into the world. With all of that in mind, ACMI’s latest exhibition allows patrons a beautiful insight into the legacy and creative process behind these hand-crafted characters.
The exhibition will home over 350 different objects and artefacts spanning Aardman’s entire creative career, from plasticine models and sets to concept drawings and storyboards. Currently open to the public, and running until the end of October, this is definitely an experience that you won’t want to miss.
A city that is constantly moving and shifting, Melbourne will always have an abundance of exciting events and festivals on the horizon. To ensure that you’ll be experiencing it all in comfort and style, book your stay with RNR Melbourne today!
